ROUTE
In the morning we set off from Bucharest in the direction of Targoviste – Dragoslavele – Sirnea. If there is a lot of snow, the coach will leave us at the intersection of the road with the village of Sirnea, where our route begins. We set off on foot, for an hour through the settlements of Sirnea and Ciocanu, where we admire the traditional mountain villages, rustic houses and landscapes that seem to have come out of fairy tales. We take photos and socialize while the guide tells us about the history of the places and the traditions specific to the area at the foot of Piatra Craiului. We learn that the village of Sirnea was declared the first tourist village in Romania in 1960. We continue our journey, eager to see the rest of the route.
We leave the village of Ciocanu behind and enter the route marked with a blue cross. We climb for 40 minutes to the ridge of Piatra Craiului, while admiring the landscape and getting to know each other better. We arrive at a clearing where we take out our snacks brought from home and have lunch. We take a group photo and, loaded with fresh strength, we continue our climb through the forest to Curmatura Groapelor.
Curmatura Groapelor
Once we arrive, we enjoy the autumn colors and admire the villages at the foot of Piatra Craiului. Curmatura Groapelor is the highest point on our route, so here we will enjoy a magnificent panorama of the village of Sirnea and the Piatra Craiului Massif. We take as many photos as we can and socialize.
From here we descend to the village of Ciocanu in the direction of Saua la Crucea Sparturilor – La Mormantul Florichii on the route marked with red tape. Once in the village, we go on the same road to the bus.
We say goodbye to the rustic cottages and the fairytale mountain landscape and head home. We set off on the road in the direction of Rucar – Targoviste – Bucharest.
On the way, we look at photos, talk and socialize until we reach Bucharest, where we arrive around 9:00 PM.
During the entire route, it is necessary to respect the essential rules for mountain hikes organized by Hai sa socializam!
