Come with us on an adventure on one of the most beautiful massifs in Romania! Just 150 km from Bucharest, Ciucas awaits us with spectacular cliffs, snow-covered forests and breathtaking panoramas.

The route is accessible and perfect for those who want to enjoy nature and socialize. We will climb through the Bratocea Pass, pass through meadows and reach the Bratocea Peak, from where the view of Brasov and Cheia is absolutely magnificent.

The winter hike on Ciucas is the perfect opportunity to discover a fairytale massif, relax and spend a day in nature with nice people.

Please keep in mind that, depending on certain organizational aspects, the structure of the trip, the route or the order of activities may change.

ROUTE

Saturday morning we set off on the road on the route Bucharest – Ploiesti – Cheia – Bratocea Pass . On the way we will take a short break at a gas station for coffee and breakfast, then continue to our destination.

Once we reach Bratocea Pass , we equip ourselves and enter the route.

We start on the forest road that climbs gently through the snow-covered forest. The route is accessible, without technical sections, and takes us step by step to the alpine valley.

We emerge into a picturesque clearing near a sheepfold. We climb gently, and after about two hours we reach Culmea Bratocea . Here spectacular views open up to us: we see Cheia, Brasov and the surrounding resorts, all immersed in a white winter setting.

From the summit we continue on the ridge for another hour and a half, walking among rocky formations and fairytale landscapes, to the Tigalir Saddle . From here a steeper climb awaits us, of approximately 30 minutes, to the Ciucas Peak (1954 m) .

We arrive at the Peak, where we will take a photo break and enjoy the winter view.

Upon descending we head towards the Ciucas Chalet , where we will have a well-deserved lunch break and time to relax. Then we continue the route to the Muntele Rosu Chalet , where we change our equipment and prepare for the return.

The bus will be waiting for us for the journey to Bucharest, where we will arrive around 9:30 PM , with beautiful memories and full of energy.
