At the beginning of January, a mountain route has been prepared that will take us to the Diham Chalet! Come with us and cross the Bucegi Mountains from Rasnov to Busteni!

ROUTE

Saturday morning we set off from  Bucharest on the DN1 route  – Ploiesti – Paraul Rece – Rasnov.

Along the way, we meet people, socialize, play, and admire the beautiful winter landscapes as we approach our destination.

We arrive in Rasnov where we get our gear and, full of enthusiasm, we start a perfect Saturday. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, we begin our hike.

We will walk approx. 1 hour on the forest road to the entrance to the trail. We continue our way on the trail marked with the blue stripe, we cross the river on a wooden bridge then continue through the forest to the intersection with the trail to Malaiesti Chalet. Here we turn left on the blue cross and descend into  the Glajaria Valley.

We start a steeper climb and in approx. 1.5 hours we reach the  Diham Chalet .  We take a lunch break and warm up with a hot tea, socialize, play with the snow and breathe the fresh air of Bucegi. We will also take a lot of photos because from here we can admire the Bucsoiu Peak and the Coltii Morarului in all their splendor.

Loaded with fresh strength and good mood we continue our route. We leave the chalet behind and climb the yellow triangle crossing Poiana Diham .  Further we enter the forest and begin the descent to the Gura Diham Chalet. We pass through Saua Baiului then we begin the steep descent onto Panta Prostului for approx. 30 minutes.

We end the hike and arrive at Gura Diham (Busteni).

After a wonderful day of exercise, breathing the oxygen-rich air of the Bucegi Mountains and meeting new people, it’s time to head home. We head towards the capital on the  Busteni – Ploiesti – DN1 route.  We arrive around 9:00 PM.
